Catherine Bell, a tall and athletic performer was born in London, England. However she emigrated to Los Angeles, California with her mother while she was a small kid. She dropped out of college in order to pursue her career as a model in Japan, despite having intended to major in premed at school. Then, in L.A., after doing several commercials for TV as well as small film roles, she also made guest-starring appearances on TV the shows. In 1992 she was Isabella Rosellini's naked body double in the film Death Is Her that led her to her partner Adam Deason on the set. After appearing on JAG on NBC, JAG she wrote to the producer of the show, expressing an interest. JAG was recast on CBS in 1996 and she was a part of the show as Sarah Mac Mackenzie. David James Elliott played Commander Harmon "Harm Rabb." In real life she is an accomplished kickboxer. Perry is the daughter of actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mom in both of the two episodes she appeared on Roseanne.
