Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw also known by her stage name Elizabeth Alice MacGraw has been as a performer, model and animal rights advocate in the United States. The actress has won praise for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). She was drawn to becoming an artist was inspired by her upbringing in the New York family of artists. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant and then moved on to modeling and acting. The first two films she appeared in, she was recognized as a winner of the Golden Globe Award as Most Popular Young Actress. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major smash and brought her world fame along with an Academy Award' nomination and the Golden Globe award. Within just three short films MacGraw became the most popular female box office star in the entire world. Her handprints, autograph and footprints were immortalized in 1972 at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. In addition to The Getaway Convoy Players she was also in the TV series The Winds of War. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers was released. MacGraw has married thrice.
